James "Pop" Pollard

Voice of the Blue Devils

James "Pop" Pollard graduated from Bremen High School in 1941. While at Bremen he played in the tailback position for the Bremen Blue Devils. Pop Pollard was the first chairman of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at BHS. For fourteen years he was a member of the Bremen School Board serving as chairman at one time. Pop Pollard is remembered well as "The Voice of the Bremen Blue Devils" for 46 years, 1956-2002.
